We can report that our Church Youth Group C@N (pronounced CAN) is having an action-packed Autumn programme, and is growing in numbers weekly, with a current membership of 27 youngsters, between the ages of 10 and 15.

Recent events have included many energetic games at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Mannings Heath. Because of the church’s flexibility, the floor is often clear of chairs, and we are able to enjoy many active games. These have included ‘Back to Front Blindfold Obstacle Races’; ‘Global Charades’ acting games; ‘Back to Back Drawing Competition’; ‘True or False Quiz Chase’; and ‘Find the Capital Letter Hunt!’….If you need any explanation of these games, please ask one of the C@N Leadership Team – you may be able to play them over Christmas!!

We also continue to play the more traditional games, including board games; table football; table tennis, carpet bowls, and more recently we have added Bingo to our list! Sports are always on our Agenda, and we are starting to use ‘The Bridge’ Leisure Centre at Broadbridge Heath, for soccer and netball.

We also have many Discussion Times, and this term we have chatted about Global Warming, and our views on Greta Thunberg, the 16 year old Environmental Activist; and entries in The Guinness Book of Records, including the man who ran the Detroit Marathon backwards (Scott Welland);

None of these activities could take place without our brilliant Leadership Team. Due to our growing numbers, we are keen to welcome new leaders and helpers. So if you have some spare time on Thursday evenings from 7 – 8.30 and would like to help, please let us know!
